Duo de Soleil

Duo de Soleil zostało założone w 2021 roku i od tego czasu bada wyjątkowe połączenie dwóch instrumentów, które rzadko występują razem na scenie: fletu, który reprezentuje jasny, bogaty harmonicznie obszar dźwięku, oraz altówki, która kontrastuje swoim ciepłym, głębokim brzmieniem — celowo rezygnując z akompaniamentu instrumentów takich jak fortepian.
Cornelia Gehlmann-Dinca (flet) i Joanna Filus-Olenkiewicz (altówka) tworzą swoją grą świat dźwięków pełen klarowności, lekkości i przejrzystości — z poczuciem światła i optymizmu, które odzwierciedla się również w nazwie zespołu: Duo de Soleil („Muzyka w obliczu Słońca”).
W sierpniu 2023 roku Duo de Soleil zdobyło 3. nagrodę w kategorii kameralistyki podczas London International Music Competition. W następnym miesiącu otrzymały w Polsce nagrodę oraz 3. miejsce w kategorii Prawykonanie podczas Konkursu Muzycznego Muzyczne Orły. Ponadto, w konkursie Muzyki Kameralnej w Wiedniu zdobyły 1. nagrodę, a w tym samym roku w Berlinie otrzymały srebrny medal na kolejnym Międzynarodowym Konkursie Muzycznym.



Das Duo de Soleil wurde im Jahr 2021 gegründet und erforscht seitdem die außergewöhnliche Klangverbindung zweier Instrumente, die selten gemeinsam auf der Bühne zu hören sind: der Flöte, die den hellen, obertonreichen Bereich abbildet, und der Bratsche, die mit ihrem warmen, tiefen Klang kontrastiert – ganz bewusst ohne die Unterstützung durch ein Begleitinstrument wie das Klavier.
Cornelia Gehlmann-Dinca (Flöte) und Joanna Filus-Olenkiewicz (Bratsche) schaffen mit ihrem Spiel eine Klangwelt voller Klarheit, Leichtigkeit und Transparenz – mit einem Gefühl von Licht und Optimismus, das sich auch im Namen des Ensembles widerspiegelt: Duo de Soleil („Musik im Angesicht der Sonne“).
Im August 2023 wurde das Duo mit dem 3. Preis in der Kategorie Kammermusik beim London International Music Competition ausgezeichnet. Im darauffolgenden Monat erhielten sie in Polen einen Preis sowie den 3. Platz in der Kategorie Uraufführung beim Musikwettbewerb Muzyczne Orły. Zudem gewann das Duo beim Kammermusikwettbewerb in Wien den 1. Preis und wurde im selben Jahr in Berlin mit einer Silbermedaille bei einem weiteren Wettbewerb geehrt.

Duo de Soleil was founded in 2021 and has since explored the exceptional combination of two instruments rarely heard together on stage: the flute, which represents the bright, overtone-rich range, and the viola, which contrasts with its warm, deep tone—intentionally without the accompaniment of instruments such as the piano.
Cornelia Gehlmann-Dinca (flute) and Joanna Filus-Olenkiewicz (viola) create a sound world filled with clarity, lightness, and transparency—imbued with a sense of light and optimism, which is also reflected in the name of the ensemble: Duo de Soleil (“Music in the Face of the Sun”).
In August 2023, the duo was awarded 3rd prize in the chamber music category at the London International Music Competition. The following month, they received an award and 3rd place in the Premiere Performance category at the Muzyczne Orły Music Competition in Poland. Additionally, the duo won 1st prize at a chamber music competition in Vienna and received a silver medal in another competition in Berlin later that year.
